Accomplishments
Over the past years, the American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF) has worked diligently to position itself as one of the osteopathic profession's premier philanthropic organizations.Individual Donors
The annual generosity of individual donors help support the AOF's many programs and benefit thousands of osteopathic physicians, students, researchers and institutions, as well as implement new programs. At May31, 2009, the AOF had 10,250 individual annual donors. We thank you for your support. Please help us to surpass our goal of 11,000 individual donors for our fiscal year ending , May 31, 2010.

Scholarship
Because of the AOF's success, we were able to offer 26 different grant, scholarship, or award opportunities to osteopathic medical students, residents, physicians, educators, basic scientists, and osteopathic programs/centers.
Research
The AOF is one of the major contributors providing monetary support for the creation of the Osteopathic Research Center (ORC), located at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. In 2005, the AOF completed a four-year commitment to the ORC of $600,000. In 2006, the AOF Board of Directors approved funding in the amount of $100,000 to the ORC with conditional funding of $100,000 for the years 2007-2009.
Funding to the ORC through 2009 would achieve a total commitment by the AOF of $1,000,000.
Education
On an annual basis, the AOF provides grant funding for a variety of osteopathic educational programs.
