Ready Relief Boxes

The American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF) is excited to provide a unique opportunity for osteopathic physicians who participate in international medical missions. Working with Heart to Heart International, the AOF has purchased Ready Relief Boxes for the osteopathic profession. A Ready Relief Box is a portable pharmacy in a box. At a cost of $500 per box (covered by the AOF), the recipient receives $7,500 worth of essential medicines, instruments and supplies commonly used by groups that treat the world’s poor and underserved. Its sturdy, suitcase-like design was built to withstand the rigors of international travel and can treat up to 400 people.

The AOF will only cover the cost of one Ready Relief Box per mission.

This opportunity is open to any osteopathic physician who is a member in good standing with the American Osteopathic Association and a current donor of the American Osteopathic Foundation.

The applicant is required to submit a complete application and if approved, submit a post trip report, story, and high resolution photographs.

ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE AOF AT LEAST ONE MONTH PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE MISSION TRIP.
