Merck Excellence in Diabetes Care Award
Deadline: July 23, 2010 - CLOSED FOR 2010Diabetes has reached epidemic proportions in the US. What used to be thought of as a disease of the middle aged and elderly is now afflicting our nation’s youth. The Merck Excellence in Diabetes Care Award was established to reward excellence in the field of diabetes; honoring those who advance diabetes education and treatment. The goal is to improve in the quality of life for people living with diabetes.
The recipient of this $10,000 award will be an osteopathic physician, center or program that focuses on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and patient education of those with diabetes.

The 2010 recipient will be notifed in August and will recieve the award on October 24th at the annual AOF Honors Celebration in San Francisco.
